Aluminium shroud that blocks out stay light from the side and protects the main mirror from dust.
Fits between the mid-ring and front-ring of the CDK14 through CDK24 (and RC models). These aluminum cylinders fit within the interior of the upper truss (CF struts are still visible from the outside.
The purpose of these shrouds is to offer improved dust and light mitigation, compared to the spandex shrouds.
Please note: Factory installation required. Due to the fact that the upper-truss section of the telescope must be disassembled (the front-ring and secondary-mirror must come off) for the solid-shrouds to be installed, we recommend this is done at our factory
